Abstract

Social welfare has strong relationship with development and economic development linked with the improvement of people's living and working conditions. Child labor is one of the elements of underdevelopment and represents poverty. Moreover, family work that includes the work of all members of the family, is a prominent feature of poverty and unbalanced development which one of its representatives are brick-kilns in Iran. In this context, the central question of the present study deals with the factors which affect the formation of family-work and their welfare condition. The research method is survey and the statistical population of the research includes all families that work in brick-klins of Vayqan city who are about 940 families. A sample consisting of 270 families were selected and studied. The results show that social capital, as one of the effective variables, has direct and strong relationship with level of welfare which confirms the theory. Other variables such as feelings of low self-respect and low self-esteem, taking care of present time, and social security insurance coverage, have negative relationship with level of families' welfare. In addition, variables such as fatalism and suffering attitude towards earning money, have no significant differences with level of families' welfare.
